AvaMed Inc. is a leading medical staffing agency specializing in placements throughout all California State Correctional Facilities. We are currently seeking a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist for a Full-TIme assignment at the correctional facility in Vacaville, CA. We offer weekly pay every Friday. Candidate must be a Licensed MFT. 
 

Position Overview:

  • Job Title: Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
  • Location: Vacaville, California
  • Employment Type: Full-Time
  • Schedule: Mon-Fri 8am-4:30pm or Mon-Thur 7am-5pm
  • Pay Rate: $70/hr as a W2/traveler or $80/hr as a 1099
  • Pay Frequency: Weekly


Job Description:

1. Minimum of twelve (12) continuous months of experience within the last three (3) years performing services similar in scope to those defined herein, in a public or private institution. Internship does not count towards the required experience.

2. Must have the required licenses, permits, registrations, and/or certifications noted herein.

3. Education: Completion of a master's degree program from an accredited school for Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy, that meets the requirements stipulated in Business and Professional Code 4980.36.

Licenses, Permits, and Certification Requirements:

Prior to providing services as outlined in this Agreement, Vendor shall:

1. Ensure that each LMFT shall possess and maintain throughout the term of this Agreement, a current and valid LMFT license issued by the California Board of Behavioral Science in order to perform services in the State of California.

2. Provider shall comply with all federal, State, and local requirements including the California

Code of Regulations (CCR) Title 22, Division 5, Chapter 12, Article 1, Section 79543.

3. Provide copies of any required licenses, permits, registrations, and/or certifications for each LMFT to the institution CEO/CME or designee to be kept on file at the institution throughout the term of this Agreement. Vendor shall ensure that all required licenses, permits, registrations, certifications, and any other requirements outlined herein are current and in effect at all times during the term of this Agreement.

 

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist License

  • Ability to work consistently with minimal day off requests 

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a secure, structured environment
