Certified Nurse Assistant
AvaMed Inc is a trusted Healthcare Staffing Agency, providing skilled professionals to California State Correctional Facilities. We are currently in URGENT need of a Certified Nurse Assistant for a Full-Time 6-month assignment at the correctional facility in Crescent City, CA.
Position Details:
- Job Title: Certified Nurse Assistant
- Location: Crescent City, CA
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7am - 3:30pm
- Pay Rate: $35/hr (Weekly Pay)
- Employment Status: Traveler/W2
Under the direction of the Institution's CEO/CNE or designee, Temporary/Relief CNA shall provide
services as permitted within the scope of practice for Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Services in
accordance with Institution/Facility policies and procedures. Duties/Responsibilities shall include, but are
not limited to:
a. Assist patient/youth with activities of daily living and provide nursing care under the direction of a
Registered Nurse;
b. Perform and document rounds of patient/youth receiving medical and/or psychiatric care and
report changes in patient/youth condition to the RN;
c. Obtain specimens for diagnostic testing;
d. Assist other non-custody staff to provide patient/youth care;
e. Prepare documentation for patient/youth transfers to other Institutions/Facilities or trips to
specialty appointments;
f. Complete all required documentation of patient/youth care, provide written or oral reports, and record
entries in logbooks;
g. Clean, maintain, and check equipment; and
h. Check inventory, order and check supplies.
