AvaMed Workforce is hiring a part-time Psychologist (Mental Health Primary Clinician) for the Mental Health STRT program at the Correctional Training Facility in Soledad, CA.

  • Location: Correctional Training Facility (CTF), Soledad, CA
  • Dates: 11/30/2026 - 05/30/2027 (6 months)
  • Shift: Part-time, Sun/Mon 7:00 AM-5:00 PM, or Sun 7:00 AM-3:00 PM, Tue 7:00 AM-3:00 PM, Wed 7:00 AM-11:00 AM
  • Part-time Mental Health Primary Clinician (MHPC) role
  • Orientation: Monday 8:00 AM-4:00 PM

Responsibilities

  • Provide mental health assessment and treatment to incarcerated patients
  • Document care accurately and coordinate with the treatment team and custody
  • Follow all safety, security and contraband procedures

Requirements

  • Active California Psychologist license (Board of Psychology)
  • Correctional or forensic mental health experience preferred
  • Background check and facility security clearance
  • TB test, immunizations and facility health clearances
